Mainline Big Band is a full-sized big band, including two vocalists.

The band's current line up includes: Two vocalists, five saxophone players, four trumpeters, three trombonists and a rhythm section consisting of rhythm guitar, bass guitar and drums.

We play music from our comprehensive library of tunes from the 1920s to the present day. The Mainline was formed with the intention of performing and perpetuating the wonderful music of the big band era and this aim is being upheld to this day The library spans some 100 years and includes the works of Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Frank Sinatra and even newer artists such as Elvis Presley, the Beatles, Stevie Wonder and Chuck Mangione.

We are based in Bedford and rehearse at the Kempston Hammers Sports and Social Club. MK42 7BN

The band is available for bookings in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and surrounding areas.
